Today at Panmure Bridge School we had a visit from the police helicopter and the police dogs. They explained to us how a helicopter works. Most of the school was wondering what the big thing attached to the helicopter was, the police officer explained to us that it was a camera it cost $850,000. It can also find people that are lost at day and at night. Did you know that the police helicopter has 2 engines? We also got a visit from the police dogs. They showed us a few tricks and how they track people.
This blog is a record of my learning from Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ through to Tamaki College.

Take care of your teeth
This week we have been focusing on how we need to share a message with our school community. We have created this DLO for Room 5 to show them how we can take care of our teeth and what can happen if we don't look after them. I made this animation/presentation with my friend Dallas. The hardest thing was to write simple words so the children in Room 5 can understand our message. The easiest thing was choosing the photos.

writing explanation
How children learn at school
Children learn at school in lots of different ways.
They experience new things and copy people to learn how to do things
They watch and learn form each others. And the teachers tech new students how to do things
Kids collaborate new ideas to show that children learn at school in lots of different ways
children practise their skills to improve learning one of the things they do to is ask questions and
focus more. they gain knowledge from others by asking and use it to improve their skills
Children are curious to learn things. Not all the time children know what to do so, they ask questions. They learn in many different ways. learning is a big part of their lives. They watch others and copy them.

Screencastify
Last week we used Screencastify to record our learning. To use Screencastify we had to plan and write a script of what we were going to say. Then you open the app to record. Make sure you talk clearly. Once your Screencastify has been completed you can publish it to your blog. You need to make sure that anyone with the link can view and you need the embed code.
